Did someone say BRUUUNNNCH?
I did this morning. Hehe. While browsing through Yelp, I found the Berkeley Social Club on College Ave! They have Asian-fusion and American brunch. You can make reservations through Yelp or join the waitlist on the same day. Their hours are until 2:30PM for brunch and then again from 5PM-9PM for dinner. It's on located on a corner, so parking may or may not be bad, depending the time and day you go.
As Miguel and I walked up, we approached the hostess stand, blocking the entrance. We let her know we were on the wait list and it took no longer than 5 minutes for us to be seated. All staff were wearing and enforcing masks, following COVID guidelines.
The backyard was super cute! Each table was 6 feet apart. There's outdoor heaters, a fire pit, string lights. A whole mood. The staff was super friendly, constantly checking to make sure you're good, but not too much. The location is also pet friendly!
They had tons of options for food such as benedicts, Millionaire bacon, burgers, your avocado toast, and a whole lot more. They even got a "Chef's Selection" ranging from different toasts, pizzas, pancakes. There are a few Asian-fusion breakfasts plates, but most of it is during their dinner hours.
I got the Korean Chicken and Waffles with Spicy Syrup. It was probably one of the best things I've ever had! The chicken was just so crisp and sweet. The syrup isn't spicy at all, but it adds the perfect kick.
Their had a pretty good drink selection. Some morning cocktails, beer, wine, as well as your cup of coffee and tea. We got a pitcher the Raspberry Mimosa (not pictured).
It was honestly a great experience. I remember sending a friend a picture immediately of my food to let him know how he needs to try it out. He did and agreed!! Highly recommend if you're in the area!!
